Apologies for absence were received from Councillor R Macrae, because of family and professional commitments.

 

97.       CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES

 

Committee RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the meeting held on 1st July 2008.

 

98.       DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

 

On behalf of Councillor Mrs Hedges, the Senior Admin Officer advised Committee of Mrs Hedges’ request for an entry to be made in the minutes, to make it clear that as a member of both the Town and District Councils, she will consider all matters at District level taking into account all relevant evidence and representation at the District tier.  Therefore, she cannot be bound in any way by any view expressed in the parish tier or by the decisions of this Committee.

 

Councillor Miss Dunseath declared a prejudicial interest in application EPF/1300/08.

 

Councillor Murphy declared a non-prejudicial interest in applications EPF/1204/08 and EPF 1351/08.

           

Councillor Smith declared a non-prejudicial interest in application EPF/1204/08.

Committee object to this application on the basis that the proposal represents an overdevelopment of the site.  Committee highlighted their concerns over highways issues and access for the emergency services.  They were also concerned about wildlife issues.

103.     BRIDGE HILL RAILWAY EMBANKMENT – CONSOLIDATION OF BANKS & TREE WORKS

 

The Senior Admin Officer advised Members that the proposed public meeting had now been arranged for Friday 1st August from 7.00pm to 9.00pm.  The format would comprise of a short presentation followed by a question and answer session.  Councillor Mrs J Hedges also reported to Members on the latest developments.  Committee NOTED the updated position.
