Queen's 90th birthday beacons - Thursday 21st April 2016 From 7pm

Epping Town Council will be marking the Queen's 90th birthday by holding a beacon lighting event at Frampton Road Recreation Ground. The Queen will light the first beacon in London, followed by a nationwide lighting of beacons around the country. Do come along and be part of this historic event. Details will be available on our website and posters around the town.

Sir Winston Churchill's blue plaque

Epping Town Council have provided the Town with a blue plaque for Sir Winston Churchill. Churchill spoke to the people of Epping from The Victoria Buildings (now M&S) and a blue plaque has been placed on the building (in addition to the brass plate already there). The Town Mayor unveiled the plaque on Thursday 4th February at 9am and the speech can be heard at BBC Essex listen again Sadie Nine (04-02-16).
