Epping Town Council

Epping Town Council is the parish council for the town of Epping, established in 1973 as a result of Government reorganisation and the abolition of the Urban District Councils.

It liaises with Epping Forest District Council and Essex County Council on matters relating to Epping Town and achieved Quality Gold Status in 2019.

The Town Council consists of twelve members, elected every four years from the Hemnall and St Johns Wards and meets in the evening on the second Tuesday of every month.

Casual rent is £35 per week for a single pitch.

Stonards Hill Recreation Ground

Jack Silley Pavilion is open for prearranged bookings only.

The café and recreation ground public toilets are open.

Epping Neighbourhood Plan

Epping Neighbourhood Plan: Epping Together – The Town Council’s Plan: The Town voted YES

After 12 years of work, Epping’s Neighbourhood Plan was subject to a referendum on Thursday 18th June 2026 at Epping Hall, St Johns Road, Epping, CM16 5JU.
