We currently have a vacancy for a Casual Cleaner at Jack Silley Pavilion.

SCP 3, plus London weighting (£13.84 per hour, including London weighting)

Epping Town Council are seeking a weekday, daytime cleaner for the Jack Silley Pavilion at Stonards Hill recreation ground.

Work at the Pavilion will involve cleaning rooms, kitchens and toilets around hall bookings, cleaning the building’s external two-cubicle public toilet and the football changing rooms and locking the building after some bookings.

The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills as work will involve dealing with our hirers, visitors, staff, contractors and councillors. The Pavilion already has a caretaking team. 

Indicative hours of work: 12 per week.
Indicative schedule:
Monday: 12 noon to 2pm
Tuesday: 1pm to 3pm
Wednesday: 2.30pm to 4.30pm
Thursday: 12.30pm to 4.30pm
Friday: 12.30pm to 2.30pm

The nature of the work requires flexibility as weekday bookings do vary in school holidays. This is the anticipated schedule. The post holder will be provided with the exact hours 1-2 weeks in advance.

This is a one year contract with the potential for renewal.

Jack Silley Pavilion Caretaker Epping Town Council

SCP 6, plus London weighting
(£14.47 per hour, including London weighting)
Epping Town Council are seeking a weekday, daytime, caretaker for the Jack Silley Pavilion at Stonards Hill recreation ground.
Work at the Pavilion will involve unlocking and locking for bookings, holding keys, undertaking health and safety checks and recording, responding to emergencies in the Town Supervisor’s absence and dealing with any operational issues highlighted by the café.

The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills as work will involve dealing with our hirers, visitors, staff, contractors and councillors. The Pavilion already has an evening and weekend caretaker.
Hours of work: Monday: 9am to 10.15am, Tuesday: 9am to 10.15am, Wednesday 8am to 9.30am, Thursday 7.45am to 8.45am, Friday 7.45am to 8.45am.
6 hours per week (approximately).

The nature of the work requires some flexibility as weekday bookings do vary in school holidays. This is the anticipated schedule. Hours may increase depending on operational requirements.

This is a one year contract which is expected to be renewed.
